A writer in Fairplay understands that several reinforced concrete steamers arc now under construction in yards on San Francisco Bay. The vessels will be 3Ooft long, with a beam of 46ft and a depth of 24ft. They are constructed to carry 5000 tons deadweight, and! will bo fitted with turbine engines.
