The Dunedin District Committee met on the 15th and upheld the appeal lodged against tho disqualification imposed by the North Otago Jockey Club on E. Redmond and the horse Cast Iron on the ground of .corrupt practices at the club's New Year meeting. The committee also considered a charge laid against a trainer in a case of alleged attempted bribery at tho same meeting. The charge was dismissed on the ground that' there was not sufficient evidence to warrant further action in the matter.
