The lonely life in a lighthouse is one which appeals to few men. An official of the Marino Department told the Military Servico Board on Tuesday (states the Wellingtoa Post) that the most strenuous efforts to get men over the military ago to attend to the lights had proved unavailing ; they would not leave Home. In ono instance a returned soldier was appointed to a position, but after eight weeks had sei? in his resignation.
