WAR EXPENDITURE COMMISSION.
WELLINGTON, February 7. Tho War Expenditure Commission met to-day, but did not take evidonce. General Robin stated that to facilitate matters bo was prepared to attach, should the commission desire it, an officer of the Headquarters Staff, who might bo useful in giving evidence by reason of his knowledge of the working of different branches. This officer would be handy to give information on tho spot. If his suggestion mot with approval he would nominate Major Andrews. In reply to the Chairman. General Robin said tho -'fficer would be attached merely for tho purpose.of supplying information. The. commission agreed to the suggestion, and formally adjourned, to meet at Auckland on Monday to take evidence.
