Saturday, February 9. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.} Alleged Carnal Knowledge.—Willianjj John Murray was charged, on remand frorri Invercargill, that on or about August I4y 1917, at Port Molyneux, he did unlawfully carnally know a female over 12 years an 3 under 16 years of age.—Chief Dctectiva Bishop, in asking for a remand until nexie Saturday, said that this case would have tq be tried at Balclntha, and the court ctiqE not sit there until the 20th inst. Thd girl was now a few months over 16 years.-* The remand was granted, bail being aw lowed, accused in his _pwn recognisance o? £2OO, and two sureties of £IOO each.
