Private Edison Hutching"), who died of I wounds on Januaiy 13, was tha only son of jjr H. Hutehings, of Halfway Bush. Ho was born at Hampden in 1896, ana educated at Hampden and) Wakari Schools. After leaving Bohool he woTlced at tho carpentering trade with his half-brother, Mr W. Craig, of St. Kilda, and was later in th<> employ of the Waronui Coal Company. Hm enlisted with the Twenty-sixth Reinforcements on January 13, 1917, and Sailed with the Twenty-fifth Reinforcements. Private Hutehings wan a member of tho Roslyn Methodist Church, and took mx active intoieafc in local church and echool affairs. Gunner Herbert A. Craig (killed! in action on January 10) was the youngest son of Mrs j. Craig, of Invercargill, and the late Mr R. Craig, of Eden dale. He was born and eduoated at Edendr.lo urul Gore. He worked for ta« years at the Edendalo Dairy Factory, and later was managing tho Woodbury Factory in Canterbury, but gave up that work for tho motor trade, which had always had an attraction for him. Private Edwin Worth (died of wounds) was the sixth son of Mr Robt. Worth, manager of th 0 To Puko Gold Reefs mine. Ko waa born and educated at Waihi, attending the High School, and later w'aa apprenticed to the cabinotmaking- business. He went into -jamp in 1916, and saw much servioe on the western front.
