DEPARTURE OF THIRTY-SIXTH REINFORCEMENTS.

Th.) city presented a busy appearance on the sth insfe when leave, was .taken of The city presented a busy appearance yesterday morning when leave was taken of the Otago and Southland quotas of the 36th Reinforcements prior to entraining for Trentham. The draft was made up as follows :—Dunedin group 99, Invercargill group 90, Milton" group 39; total, 228. The Dunedin men fell in at tho Kensington Drill Hall shortly after 9 a.m., and were addressed by Colonel E. R. Smith, commanding tho Otago Infantry Brigade. Chaplain Captain buott Allan also spoke to the men and offered them good advice. Headed by the Maori Hill Brass Band the men marched, via Anderson Bay road, to Anzac square, where they were addressed by tho Major (Mr J. J. Clark) and the Rev. A. C. Randerson.
