Wattie.—The material you inquire about used to be stocked by Messrs Herbert, Haynes, and Co., but it seems to be practically unobtainable at present. Hair.—(l) A stiff, long-bristled brush is best for the hair. The whalebone ones are inclined to tew it. (2) Powdered borax helps to make the hair clean, but I have never heard of it making it curly. If not used too much, it is quite harmless for the hair. Weka.—Yes, a gaberdine rain-coat . could be cleaned quite well by a cleaner, bo long os it is not very badly stained or faded.
