HIGHLAND AND ISLANDS RELIEF FUND.

His Majesty's Theatre was well fille'd on Saturday evening with a most appreciative audience/ which listened with evident enjoyment to" a programme of excellence with infinite variety, presented by the Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Entertainers. The Travellers had consented to assist the fund which is being raised on behalf of those in distress in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and as a result of their efforts a goodly sum should bo available for transmission to Scotland. The Entertainers, under the conductorship of Mr T. Ritchie, gave a really excellent entertainment, which was greatly enjoyed by the audience. 'The president of the Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association (Mr Dugald M'Pherson), who- is greatly interested in the effort to assiet tho distressed in Scotland, occupied the chair, and during the interval announced the names of the prize-winners in the recent art union. The singing of " Auld Lang Syne" and "God Save tho King" brought to a termination a most enjoyable concert.
