BURGLARY AT HAMILTON.
HAMILTON, February 6.
The premises of ,Mr George Boyes, estaia agent, were entered by burglars last nighk Mr Boyes, on entering by the front door,heard someone jumping through the back window. On investigating, ho found that' an attempt had been made to blow up the safe. The handle was blown to pieces, and tho lock embedded in the wall. The fuse was on tho floor. The crime, was particularly daring, as it was only 9 o'ciockin the evening, while the safe was just inside the window, in a place in tho busiest part of the main street. The police are investigating. They think the work is that of an amateur.
