Not for many years have all kinds of fish been so plentiful in the Oamaru harbour (says the Mail). Red cod are more common than usual, which is saying a good deal, trevalli are now present in largo shoals, ling, mullet, greenbone, kelp cod. rock cod, perch, kawhai, groper, dogfish, sharks, skates, and even porpoises are frequent visitors, while crayfish abound among the rocks. Persons in search of good fishing need not camp out to get it.
