ATTEMPTED MURDER.
"WANGANUI, January 25. Catherine Milne," aged 25, pleaded guilty in the court to-day to a charge of attempting to murder Fidelia May Barron, three aiicl a-half years of age,, and to attempted suicide. The evidence showed that the accused dissolved anti-septic pills and administered the solution to the little girl and took some herself. She then gave .the alarm. Assistance was quickly at hand, and both recovered. Tho accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
