"Glimpses of the Grand Fleet and its Day's Work" is the ..title of one of the well illustrated articles in the December number of the Windsor Magazine. Mrs Margaret L. Woods, a well-known authoress, contributes personal experiences in the war zone in France. All Hallowstide customs and traditions connected with All Saints' Day is the subject of another article. The fine art section consists of a. further group of pictures from Shakespeare's historical plays. The fiction is varied and attractive, including another incident by Edgar Wallace, in the career of "Bones." Complete stories by Koblo Howard, Fred M. White, Crosbic Garstin, A. M. Barrage, William Caine, and other authors. The humorous section is most entertaining. Cassell's Magazine for November is rich in articles and stories. Newman Flower, the editor, writes graphically about what ho saw during his visit to the battle-fields in France. A now British navy story is contributed by "Bartimus," held to bo one of the leading writers about the sea In "Russia with its Coat Off," A. H. Fletcher continues his description of the Russian revolution. There is a complete novel by F. Jackson, and complete stories by Frank Shaw, Radcliffe Martin, Vincent Ems, and other well-known writers.
