A shooting: accident occurred at Duakura, a telegraph messenger named Frederick Williams beinjr injured. Charles Dalgety, another messenger, was walking in front Eith a pea-rifle, when Wlliams called out o had mod a rabbet. Dalgety turned round,
and in doing so, slipped, and the exploded, the bullet striking the boy in the chest and coming out under the arm. Dalgety wont for assistance, and on medical aid arriving Williams was removed to the Waikato Hospital
