Tho Wanganui Harbour Board's revenue for tho past year was a record, the figures being £20.463, as oompared with £17,522 in 1916, Nino hundred and _ seven vessels arrived at port, compared with 756 in 1916, and 15 Homo gtoamers loaded in the roadstead compared with 14 in the previous year. An explosion of gasolene vapour occurred, aboard the coaster Edho at Port Ahuriri on the 11th inst. The ship was not damaged. Amongst the cargo for Wairoa were soma leaking oases of gasolene, and it is presinned that the spirit got into the- bslga and was ignited by a light in the engine room.
