THE GREAT WAR.
GERMAN ATTACK ANTICIPATED. BRITISH TROOPS ON THE ITALIAN FRONT A HOSPITAL SHIP TORPEDOED. (By Cable.) M. Parcel Hutin writes that he believes that Germany will endeavour to exert pressure on the Franco=British front generaSJj/, but the real offensive wHI be on the two wings—the first from St. IViihiel to the Swiss frontier, and the second from Armentieres to the sea. Ker strategic plan is to take advantage of the St. SYSihiel spur and to so manoeuvre the two wings as to bring about a general descent on Paris. This is Ludendorff's dream, its object being to impose peace before the Americans get to work.
