At the Tequest cf a prominent harbour engineer, a Gisborne engineer has carried out some experiments •with a view to testing the possibility of making concrete from papa. The local engineer has produced a small slab of materia.!, capable of suoh resistance as to warrant the expectation that with further experiments a concrete suitable for harbour works may be produced.
