Mails close at the Chief Post office, Dunedin, as , under': — Until ' January 12, 1918, mails will bo despatched daily bj the . Relief Express Train, leaving Punedin for Christchurch at 11.15 a.m. North Island mails will connect with the ferry steamer at Lyttelton on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The mails will close at this office at 10.30 a.m. Late-fee letters 10.40 a.m. No late-fee letters can be posted -at the Railway Station for the Relief Express. Late-fee letters for North and So'ith Expresses may now be posted in Pillar Posting Box in front of "Railway Station. Mails for South Sea Islands by next available steamer. Mails for United Kingdom, Expeditionary Forces abroad, America, apd ail oversea countries, including Australia, will be despatched from time to time by the best route without special notification. Letters usually superscribed " via S'liez" should now be superscribed " for first direct steamer." Correspondence for all neutral countries is subject to censorship. A. T.
