CLUTHA PRESBYTERY.
A special meeting- of the CTutha Presbytery was held at Milton on Friday to deiii with the"" call from St. Andrew's Church, Wellington, to tho Rev. S. Robertson Our, Tokomairiro Presbyterian Church, Milton. The Clerk laid on th© table the relative documents j the call had been signed by 12A members of a total of 160, also 16 adherents, and promised a salary of £4OO, with increase when possible. Reasons for tho translation were given, and delegates from Tokomairiro congregation were heard, and the finding of the congregation read that they regretted the climate was proving unsuitable to the Rev. Mr Orr's voice, and they agreed not to put any obstacles m his way to acceptance of the call; also to express appreciation of his excellent work in the parish during the past three and a-half years; both in the pulpit and pastoral work ho had been, markedly successful. The call was placed in the Rev. Mr Orr s hands and formally accepted. _ It was agreed to dissolve the pastoral tie between Mr Orr and his people from the date of his induction into St. Andrew's Church —probably about the middle of February. _ . A highly appreciative minute on his services was "adopted by the Presbytery. The Rev. S. W. Currio (Balclutha) was appointed Moderator of Tokomairiro during the vacancy.
