IN MESOPOTAMIA.
ANOTHER SUCCESS.
The Daily Telegraph's description of the recent Daila River fighting states: We surprised and captured at dawn on December 3 strong positions in the Jebel Hamrin ranges and the Sakurl Tumpie Pass by a converging movement on tho flank and direct attacks. Wo took 174 prisoners and two field guns, which tho Turkish gunners claimed were uned in the defence of Gallipoli. Following up this success, we on December 5 drove out the enemy, who occupied entrenched positions on the hills northward of Gara Tuppa. The enemy fought a stubborn rearguard action, withdrawing along tho Mosul road. Fires were observed at Kifri, suggesting that the coal mines had been set afire.
