ALLANTON SCHOOL CONCERT.
The annual school concert at Allanton ivas highly successful. There was a large audience, and the children's £ffort3 were greatly appreciated. The hall r was beautifully decorated. The concert consisted of songs, recitations, duets, minstrel entertainment, pierrots, and a ;farce by the pupils; while songs were contributed by Miss J. M'Coll and Messrs W. and A. Roxburgh, and a musical trio by Miesea M'Coll and Master Ralston: The. accompanists wore Mrs Familton, Miss Allan, and Mr J. M. Allan (violin). The chairman (Mi J. M. AUanJ thanked-aIL who had assisted. Mr S'tewart was responsible for an excellent supply of refreshments. A dance followed, the music being" supplied by Messrs P. Ralston and A. Allan (violins), J. Glover and J. M. Allan (piano).
