Mails close at the Chief Post Office as 'IfRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28. For Lyttelton and Christchurch (per Monowai), at 2 p.m. Late-fee letters 3 p.m. on steamer. Late-foe letters for North and South Expresses may now be posted in Pillar Pasting Box in front of Railway Station. '...-.,>',;' Mails for South Sea Islands by next available steamer. Mails for United Kingdom, Expeditionary Forces abroad, America, apd all oversea countries, including Australia, will be despatched from time to time by the best route without special notification.. Letters usually superscribed ," via Sues!' should now bo superscribed "for firt direct' steamer." --- .
