The Late Duke of Athol justly claimed to have the greatest number of titles among- the British aristocracy. Besides his dukedom, he held two marquisates, fire earldoms, three viscounties, _ and eight baronies. He was also a Knight of the Thistle, making 20 titles in all. About 800 waistcoats made from 2] 00 pairs of old gloves have been forwarded tor the use of British prisoners of war in Germany from residents of Surbiton (says The Times), through the medium of the Glove Waistcoat Society,
