RAILWAY OFFICIALS IN COURT.

AUCKLAND. September 20. xlt the Police Court to-day, Charles A. Christini, a railway porter, was charged with stealing a case of jam, a. bag of flour, and a box of candles; Archibald J. Corkin, a porter, was charged with stealing- a case of jam and a box of candles; and Albert E. Harley, a casual labourer, with receiving a case of jam. The articles were taken from the railway goods shed % The Magistrate said Christini and Corkin had been apparently led by others, and he ordered them to be admitted to probation for three years. Harley had been tempted by the two other accused, and was also admitted to probation. Eaoh of the accused was ordered to make restitution.
