SERGT. M. CRAWFORD, OF LUMSDEN, Who has recei?ed a neatly-printed certificate from Lieutenant-general Sir Alexander Godley, which reads: "Second Australian and SVw Zealand Army Corps. Record of Good Service. 'lt gives me great pleasure to record that 8/344, Sergeant M. Crawford, First s*tt*dion, Otago Regiment, whilst he was «Mi>loyed as Battalion Lewis Gun Sergeant daring the period 1/11/1916 to 30/4/1917 in Et*aoe, during the great -war, performed wweitorious e«rvic« and diccharged hifi dutie* zealoaaly and efficiently.'"

MILITARY WEDDING AT FEATHERSTON CAMP

Lieutenant Selwyn Joyce was married on the 29th ult. to Miss Auguste Rogen, youngest daughter of Mr F. Rogen, late of St. Clair, the officers providing a guard of honour. The bridegroom is a eon of the late Mr John Joyce, M.P. (of Messrs Joyce and Adams, solicitors), and grandson of Captain Michel Joyce, of "The Ark," Port Chalmers. He served in the Boer war, having left with the First Contingent.
