The annual pilgrimage to the "rave of Adam Lindsay Gordon, in the Brighton Cemetery, took place on the 2nd inst. (says a Melbourne- telegram to the Sydney papers). Fullv 4000 people passed round the grave, which was covered with wreaths sent by various societies, and with bunches of wattle, the offerings of admirers. Although it is 47 years since Gordon died, several who knew him well were present. According to the Oamaru Mail the adventurous spirit ia not, dead aoiong tho boys of North Otago. Three lads fro.n Island Cliff, of tho aggregate age of_ 34, disappeared at midday on Thursday from school, and were discovered on Friday in tho vicinity of Windsor by their fathers, on touto to tho goldfields with "bluey" up a.r.ij a full determination to see the world.
