The Southland News states that the following letter has been received from a shareholder in a Southland dairy factory: ■'T enclose cheque for the benefit of Y.M.C.A. funds. I would have sent it sooner but I had a son coming back from the front, and I wanted his opinion on your work. He said it ia the only thing that is giving complete statisfaction over there; but ho did not consider it was getting the financial assistance it _ deserved, so I have much pleasure in sending you my dividend—namely, £2 195." Old friends, old books, old songs, old wine, Old-faehioned folks to these incline; But. as a rule, apart from such, Old-fashioned fads don't count for much. The old-time chemist made and sold His worthless dopes for cough and cold; But sufferers now such trash abjure Preferring Woods' Great Pepperminb Cure.
