WELLINGTON WING WHISPERS

Br Peter Pan. September 7. Dear "Pasquin,"—The majority of the members of the "Very Good Eddio" company are in town awaiting the departure of a vessel for Australia. According to plans they should be on the water shortly. Meantime, Miss Fayette Perry, Miss Fitzroy, Mr Beck, and several_ others are taking the opportunity of visiting Rotorua, and seeing the sight of the Wonderland of New Zealand. Scott Colville has gone back to Auckland, thero to make arrangements for the coming of Tait's "Turn to the Right"_ Company. At latest, the company was in Western Australia, and when they will be able to cross the briny is in the lap of the Australian Striker. The tour of New Zealand, which Mr Colville had arranged for MM. Piastro and Mirovitch, the Russian musicians, has had to bo abandoned on account of tho illness of the latter artist. Frank Crowther is back at his old post as conductor of tho orchestra at His Majesty's. He has been discharged from the Defence Forces, but his first lieutenant. Jack Garry, the violinist, has been called to the colours. The English Pierrots are back at tho Concert Chamber, and drawing groat houses. This clever little band could run a whole winter season here, if there were a suitable littlo theatro for their accommodation. Wo have plenty of picture theatres, and a whopping big Opera House, but no place entirely suitable for small companies such as tho Pierrots and Dandies. Chorleno and Charlene, the globetrotters, have made good at His Majesty's. Though two on the ib'll, they are three on iho stage, for Charlene and Charlene are assisted by a coloured nerson whose clowning is most amusing. The Charlenos are jusrelers and musicians extraordinary. The 'Mnlinaris are still in tho height of popularity. . Victor and .Tohn Hopkins are to conduct tours of the Dominion of the Y.M.C.A. picture "Sons of Empire."
