PERMITTING DRUNKENNESS.
AUCKLAND, September 6. Tho licensee of the Clarendon Hotel. William Anderson, who was charged to-day with permitting drunkenness on his premises was fined £2O, and had his license endorsed. Mr Frazer, S.M., said that defendant had been convicted before, and he was satisfied that defendant was not a proper person to hold a license. It waa his duty to report the matter to tho Licensing Committee if -afeadeni continued in charge of the hotel
