HOTEL HOURS.
At the monthly meeting of the Dunedhv. Presbytery yesterday it was resolved, on the motion of the Rev. A. Cameron, "That.. the Dunedin Presbytery repeats its request. for 6 o'clock closing of ail hotel bars, and" declares that to be the minimum demand which will satisfy .he people. Failing this, that tho Government be asked to grant to. the people the right to vote on tho question, of dominion prohibition, with immediate application, before the close of the vear."
At a meeting of the City Mission -yesteiv day afternoon a motion was carried express-, ing tho warmest approval of and sympathy with the widespread movement in favourof tho closing of hotel bars at 6 p.m.. ana urging members of the House to give tho, matter their support in the highest interest*, of the people, and with tho object of bring-. ing the war to a close.
