OVERSEAS CLUB COLLECTION.
NEARLY £l4O RAISED. The collection organised by ladies of the Overseas Club to provide, comforts for soldiers on active service was taken up on Friday. It was the third effort of the kind, and proved successful beyond the expectations of the organisers. "Stalls were placed at the busy parts of the city, and the energetic ladies soon sold their stocks of flowers and patriotic badges. As a result of their efforts nearly £l4O was collected during the day, and the ladies express their thanks for the splendid manner in which the public responded to their appeal.
