NATIONAL PATRIOTIC APPLE SHOW.
I This extensive exhibition of fruit will be held lin the Bryclone Hall this year, and the promises of competition from the whole of Now Zealand are very gratifying to those' who have undertaken the running of the §how. The local committee, which is acting for the New Zealand Federation, has arrangements well in hand, and the decorations will be on a very extensive scale. The Ladies’ Patriotic Association and the Red Cross Society have undertaken the charge of the refreshment rooms, and under their capable management it is hoped this portion of the show will produce a golden harvest, the whole of the takings from this source going to these deserving societies. In addition the proceeds of the show,, including those derived from the sale of produce, will go to the various Patriotic societies, and as everything points to a most successful effort, these bodies, should benej fit from this in no small degree.
