SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE.
Judging from the number of inquiries and requests for membership forms that are daily received at the office of the- Second Division League, the movement is receiving strong support throughout New Zealand. In Otago alone more than 6500 tickets have been issued, and it is worthy of note that, besides Second Reservists, the membership includes First Reservists, men over military age, and women. _ The Otago executive has been working quietly and effectively, and has established branches at Oamaru, Mosgiel, Roxburgh, Lawrence, Milton, Maclcnnan, and Hcriot. Steps are being taken to form branches at Balelutha. Tananui, and most of the towns in Central Otago. Leagues havo been formed at Invcrcargill, Timaru, Christchuroh, Wellington, and New Plymouth, and the matter is under consideration at Auckland, Gisborne, Napier, Wanganui, Palmcrston North. Nelson, .and Greymouth. These leagues, together with their branches, are now at work drawing up a definite scale of pensions and allowances, which will be presented to the Government in the near future.
