The contemplated alteration in the form of railway tickets was briefly mentioned by the Minister of Railways at Auckland (says the Post). It was said Mr Herries, to have a uniform and simple 6ystem, instead of the present complicated one, so that untrained people, such as ■women and returned soldiers, could be employed as ticket collectors on suburban trains.
