OTAGO LAND BOARD.
A special meeting of tho Otago Land Board was held on March 22; presentMessrs R. T. Sadd (chairman), T. A. Munro, and C. J. Indcr. Tho following subdivisions in the Hawkdun run wero allotted to soldiers on active uervioe:—Run 582, A. O. Stringer; 583, James I. Stevenson; 584, Herbert Waldron; 585, F. 0. Morgan. • F. J. Gent, lessee of section 9a, Taumata settlement, was granted 12 months' time to complete tho value of improvements inquired. A. T. Valentine's license over islands in tho Waitaki Hirer was determined, at tho request of the licensee. Tho Waitaki Acclimatisation Society applied for 10 acres out of portion of section la, Stewart settlement, recently resumed from tho lessee.—Held over for inquiries. Tho issue of a duplicate license over sections 1 to 6, block VI, Waipahi; town, hold by A. Roborston, was approved. Tho chairman was authorised to arrango with tho lato lessees of sections 2a, Waitahuna No. 1, and la, Waitahuna No. 2, for tho removal of crops. Another special meeting of tho board was held on March 28; present—Messrs R. T. Sadd (chairman), G. Livingstone, T. M. Munro, and Jna Smith. Tho following applications for transfers wero dealt with: —Hun 202 a, Donald M'lntyro to D. M'Kenzie Ranger to report. Run 424 b, Frank Christio to Andrew Christie. —Registration approved. Section 29, block "VII, Woodland, John A. Galbraith to Arthur A. A burn.—Approved. R. Ballantyno applied to surrender section 2a. Waitahuna No. 2.—Surrender accepted, subject to the approval of tho Minister.
