THE SEDITION APPEAL.
CHRISTCTIURCH, January 8. Mr George Hutchison, who is appearing for Semple, Cooke, Fraser, Brir.dle, and Thorn in the sedition appeals, has advised Mr M'Combs, M.P., that ho intends to raise the question as to the competoncy of Parliament to pass the Conscription Act. The appeals will probably bo taken together on a special 'late prior to the ordinary criminal sessions
