A YEAR'S PRISONERS.
"Router's correspondent at Headquarters in France states that the Allies during 1 1916 took prisoners 552.423. exclusive of Rumanian captures in Trnnsylvania and British captures in Egypt and East Africa. The French took-78,500 prisoners, <of whom 26.600 were raptured at Verdun and 51.840 on the Somme. The British captured 40.500. and the Kalians 52.250. the Russians 400 COO. and the Macedonian army 11.173. The correspondent estimates that the enemy's casualties in Franco during 1916 totalled a million.
