MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Tuesday, December 19. (Before Mr H. A. Young, S.M.) Undefended Cases.—Judgment for plaintiffs, by default, was given in the following cases: — Fatorson and Barr v. Napier Plumbing and Tinware Company, claim £43 4s 2d. for goods supplied (costs £1 3s); M. Gallihawk v. D. Smith, claim 15s. Plaintiff did not appear, and the case was Btruck out, the defendant being allowed 10s expenses; Tho Commercial Trading Company v. Richdalc (Marton), claim £l2 4s, for goods supplied (costs £1 10s 6d); Nathaniel Campbell v. William H. Drury, claim lis 2d, on account stated (costs ss): A. and T. Burt v. James Easkie, claim £l7 9s 3d, on an account stated and agreed upon (costs £1 lis 6d); Nimmo and Blair v. Frederick W. Collins, claim Rs Bd. for goods supplied (costs ss). In the case of C. Gamble and Co. v. J. Stewart., a claim for £8 3s 4d, for goods supplied, defendant raised as his defence the statute of limitations. —Mr Sburr. for plaintiff, offered no evidence, and the case was dismissed.—Mr Ramsay applied for costs, which were granted; solicitor's fee £1 Is, ftnd 10s 6d expenses incurred by defendant.
