J. 8., East Taieri.—Cow ailing: As you put it, the question is somewhat difficult to answer. The late changeable weather may have something to do with the condition of the cow. House her comfortably, and give the following mixture:—Epsom salts, 12oz; ground ginger, 2oz; mixed in two quarts of thin oatmeal gruel. If she docs not improve in a few days, and as you say she is a good cow, you might repeat the treatment.
