A bofctlc-collccting campaign inaugurated at Napier in aid of the Red Cross Fund has so far resulted in the collection of 22.500 bottles. In a letter received by the last English mail the- writer, who is the wife of a major in the army, says her daughter, a girl of 22, is going into the Army Remount Department. She has obtained quarters, and will have entire charge of five horses. She had previously been in a splint-making factory, but the work had strained her eyesight.
