A NEW TOMATO.

A very fine sample of hothouse tomatoes, named Bryant's Improved, came into tho local market during last week from Mr Harvey, of Forbury crescent, St. Clair. These Were grown from seed imported by Messrs T. Paterson and Co., and given to the grower to make a test. Last year Mr Harvey grew a few plants from tho seed, and increased his planting to 300 plants this season, practically filling one house, as he was so satisfied with the fruit, both as a bearer and as a fine, showy fruit, with beautiful full flavour. The first few pounds of Bryant's Improved realised In 4-id under the hammer, and the second lot up to Is 6d.
