OTAGO EARLY SETTLERS' ASSOCIATION.

Tlio usual monthly committee meeting was held on the 12th. Mr D. Reid (president) occupied the chair. Votes of thanks were passed to the following for gifts for the museum: —O. J. Wood. Balclutlia (photograph Balclutha School, teacher, and pupils, early sixties): Marie Finch, Milton (enlarged framed photograph of his late father and mother); D. Haggart, Wangaloa (piece of bone, part black fish head) ; J. W. Bannerman. Bluff (copv Bluff Press No. 1, Vol. I, 7/7/08, also copv' 50/9/16). The following obituaries wore recorded the last monthly meeting:—Mrs Jessie M'Grerror. 81 (Sevilla. early sixties); P. Hanrahan (Gabriel's Guliv, 1861); Rev. Jas. Chisholm, 74 (Three Bells. 1858); Mrs Jane Hitchon, 85 (arrived 1863); John Bosworth Taylor, 76 (Giant's Causeway, 1861); Neil Blnck 78 (Scvilla, 1859); Edward Bovd, 84 Robt Henderson. 1858); Robt. Caldwell Lindsay, 75 (Abouldr, 1862): Geo. Robertson. 86 (Chariot of Fame, 1862). Thirty-thrco new members wero enrolled at the November meeting, and three were enrolled at yesterday's meeting.
