BRYANT.—On September 25, died from wounds received while in action in France, John William Herbert, sou of G. H. Bryant, Geraldine; aged 21 years. He fought and died nobly. CARMICHAEL—On November 15, 1016, killed while in action in France, Sergeant Archibald Carmichael (Main Body), grandson of John Often, Mount Cargill; aged 21 years. Deeply regretted. Ho did his duty. FLEMING.—On November 15, 1916, killed while in action in France, Corporal Rhyl Vaughan Fleming, youngest son of Elizabeth and the late James Fleming, of Lansdowne, Romahupa; aged 28 years. GURR.—On November 14, 1010, killed while in action in Franco, Lieutenant Albert Jackson Gurr, dearly-loved youngest son of Mrs E. Gurr, St. Clair, and the late George Lament Gurr; aged 27 years. Till the day breaks. HICKEY. —On November 23, 1910, drowned “Somewhere in Fra7ice,” Sapper Patrick (N.Z.F.E., Ninth Reinforcements), beloved brother of Edward Hickey, Dunrobin; aged 44 years. R.I.P.
