The Pukepiki and Sandymount branch of the Women's Patriotic Association sent in this month 71 pairs socks, 62 service bags, 30 handkerchiefs, 20 face towels, 6 tea towels, 5 balaclavas, 14 housewife* for tho Lady Liverpool fund, 42 new articles for the Lady French fund, a Belgian parcel, and also 40 little dresses for selling at tho tulip garden fete MIDDLEMAR CH PATRIOTIC SOCIETY. The following are thanked for donations towards the Dominion Parcels' Fund: Mrs W. Elliott 2s 6d, "Winsome and Gwen" 2s 6d, Mrs Blakely 2s 6d. "Wellwisher" 2s 6d, Miss N. Ross- 2s 6d, Miss R. Rosa 2s 6d.' It was Mr Blakely, not Glekely, who gave a. donation of £2 2s. EED CROSS WORK. OVERSEAS CLUB STREET COLLECTION. On the 24th the Overseas Club conducted a street collection for the purpose of raising funds, part to be devoted to the purchase of extra comforts for tho men at the front, and part to go to the purchase of wool to be supplied to the school children for the purpose of enabling them to knit balaclavas, socks. etc. A large number ol Indies offered their services as col-

lectors. Starting at 8 o'clock in the morning, they worked hard all day and on to 8 o'clock in the evening, a Bum of £237 6s 8d rewarding their efforts. A crimson ribbon badge, bearing in gold letters the words " Pozieres, 1916, New Zealand. Remember our boys," was sold at nil the stands.
