CONDITION OF WESTLAND SCHOOLS.
REFLECTIONS REPUDIATED. HOKITIKA, July 18. The chairman of tho Westland Education Board has forwarded a protest to the Minister of Education with regard to tho statement telegraphed in connection with the deputation to the Minister of Education by the Canterbury Education Board, pointing out that they are totally incorrect as regards the Westland education district. Every school in Westland is in good order. When members of the Canterbury Board recently visited Westland they admitted the good condition of the Westland schools. The chairman has also forwarded a protest on the same subject to thu members of tho Canterbury Board.
