SHACKLETON EXPLORATION.
LONDON, June 14. The Shackleton Relief Committee r*t ports that it was equipping the to search Weddell Sea, when news of bb& safety of Sir E. Shackleton was received., The Aurora, with the co-operation of the Governments of Australia and New Zea* land, will rescue the Ross Sea party. The High Commissioner reports : The Admiralty Committee of tb.9 Shackleton Relief Expedition reports that the ship Discov°ry is to be equipped at once for a two years' voyage. A small party is to be landed in the winter ti search the coasts by sledge in the autumn and spring, and the ship is to return in 1917-1918. The committee's recommendations had been approved by the Government when Sir E. Shackleton arrived at the Falkland Islands. Since then the committee has advised the rescue of the 22 men left. Sir E. Shackleton will do this in the vessel furnished by Uruguay. Tha rescue of the men left by the ship Aurora will be effected with the co-operation of the Governments of Australia and Nerf Zealand. Juno 16. Sir Ernest Shackleton is starting back to Elephant Island to-day to relieve tha party marooned there. SYDNEY, June 13. Captain Larsen, a member of the Nordenskold Expedition, is preparing at Punts Arenas- another expedition for the reliejf of Sir E. Shackleton's party at Elephant Island.
