The burglar searched the bedroom, with movements so stealthy that they failed to rouse the snorer in the bed. Biu ho found no booty—ho had drawn a blank. "Blow 'ini !" ho murmured angrily. "But I'll get some satisfaction out o' the brute!" So ho set tho alarm clock on tho mantelpiece for 3.30 a.m., and softly stole awav.
