FLOODS IN CAPE PROVINCE

CAPETOWN, May 11. A disastrous drought in the Midland districts has broken up. It has been followed by floods, by which railways, homesteads, dams, and live stock were swept away. It is reported that 40 lives have been lost, mostly in the Gaintoos Valley.
