TUTURAU.

April 10.—Very warm weather prevailed here until March 20, when a thunderstorm broke over the district. Tho weather has been broken ever since; not that it has been very rough, but there has been little drying weather. During the long spell of very fine weather most of the harvest was gathered in in very good condition, and a few farmers thrashed; but those not so fortunate as to get the crop all in have had a trying time during the last fortnight. Thrashing; too, has been broken time, butanother week will about finish it here. The past two days have been very cold, with hail and rain showers. The rain was needed badly, as everything was getting very dry and withered. The swede turnips were very blighted, which the rain, however, checked. The softer sorts were not growing at all, but there has been great growth since. P.W.M.XJ.—The second monthly meeting for this season of the P.W.M.U. was held in tho church on the sth inst. Interesting letters and papers were road from various missions, and letters of thanks for parcels received, and bandages that arrived when most needed. It seems wonderful that the threepenny pieces of tho combined Sunday School children should amount to over £IOO —the Christmas present to sink two wells in Jagadhri, India. The wells will be built of brick; hence the expense. The late hot weather gives us a little idea of their need.
