The Waimate-Waitaki Acclimatisation Society is a thing of the past. The following letter has been received (the Oamaru Mnil reports) from the Minister of Internal Affairs: —"Referring to the previous correspondence, I havo the honour to enclose herewith an extract from the New Zealand Gazette, of January 20. 1916. cancelling the registration of the Waitaki-Waimate Acclimatisation Society. I also enclose for your information a copy of a notification of the 10th hist., declaring the Waitaki Acclimatisation Society to bo a duly registered society, under 'The Animal Protection Act, 1908. A warrant defining the boundaries of the Acclimatisation Society's district will be shortly prenared."
